How Open Doors serves the church
Open Doors works in over 70 countries, through long-term partners on the ground to strengthen and equip persecuted Christians. Our national bases in 25 countries work to raise awareness of global persecution, mobilising prayer, support and action among Christians.
Distributing Bibles and Christian resources
Despite increased security control and restrictions, Open Doors provides contextualised Christian materials in minority languages. Last year, Open Doors distributed over 1.2 million bibles and Christian books worldwide.
Training Christians and church leaders
In the last year, Open Doors provided 3.8 million Bible training programmes to persecuted Christians around the world.
Trainings include leadership and discipleship courses, trauma care and persecution survival seminars.
Supporting victims of violence and disaster
Open Doors supports persecuted Christians by providing emergency relief, medical care and community development.
Raising awareness and encouraging prayer
The Bible clearly tells us that as one Body of Christ, the universal Church must suffer and rejoice together (1 Cor. 12:26). Across the world, Open Doors mobilises prayer support for persecuted Christians, encouraging the global church to stand with them in prayer so that they know they are not alone.
Speaking out in advocacy
We help persecuted believers by advocating on their behalf, providing legal support, and seeking positive policy changes in their country.
